Congrats to local girl Carmel Galvey & Jimmy Casey from Dublin who were married yesterday Friday 12th November 2010 in St. Michaels Church, Bornacoola. They were extremely lucky with the weather on the day as even though it was cold, the rain managed to stay away for them long enough for John Reynolds http://johnreynoldsphoto.com to capture some fantastic shots of the couple. Gerard Haughey was also on hand as a second shooter for John. Gerard captured all the fun stuff which he then compiled into a slide show which was shown after desert in the Hotel. As they walked back down the aisle as a married couple, Matt Wheeler from Sligo started up his bagpipes & entertained the crowd as the couple were congratulated by their guests. Afterwards they travelled just down the road to the Landmark Hotel http://www.thelandmarkhotel.com for their reception. It really is no wonder that Patricia Corrigan won the “Wedding Coordinator of the year” award for the Landmark, because she puts her heart & soul into looking after absolutely every little detail on the day. No request is too big for her. Carmel & Jimmy also had great praise for her. Local man & brilliant musician Ronnie Duignan was on hand in the bar to entertain the arriving guests as the Landmark served up some much needed Hot Whiskeys. Later in the evening “The Looney Hoppers”, supplied the music & fun in the main function room. A good night was had by all & Carmel actually took to the stage a couple of times & sang for her husband. Hope ye had a brilliant day yesterday folks and an even better time on Holiday. Wishing Carmel & Jimmy all the very best of luck from Michael & Linda Frayne at www.Frayneweddings.com

Congrats to Mary Healy & Keith Brennan who were married Yesterday Saturday 30th October 2010 in Ballyrush Church, Co.Sligo. They travelled just up the road to Cromleach Lodge www.cromleach.com for their reception. The photographer was Mark Capilitan http://markcapilitan.com from Sligo. As it happens Mark himself got married only 6 weeks ago, so he now nows what its like to be on both sides of the camera! A sumptuous chocolate fountain was supplied by Chocolate Fountain Hire www.chocolatefountainhire.ie which included strawberries, mini muffins, marshmallows, profiteroles, shortbread, banana pieces, fudge, Turkish Delight, meringues, apple pieces, chocolate chip cookies, pineapple chunks, grapes which could all be dipped in 100% pure chocolate. The fountain was set in a large, beautifully illuminated round-table floral display with coloured voiles and glass vases. The band were Sean Slattery & the Connections www.seanslattery.ie from Galway. They had the floor rocking all night long. Sean sung a fantastic version of Jackie Wilsons “Higher & Higher” that had the floor hopping. Celtic Rhythm www.celticrhythmdancers.com Irish dancers also entertained the crowd during the tea break. Hope ye had a brilliant day yesterday and an even better time on Holiday. Wishing Mary & Keith all the very best of luck from Michael & Linda Frayne at www.Frayneweddings.com
